Love nature? Love getting creative?

Join us for our Creative Green Hub Launch in Maryport with artist Zoe Forster for some creative activities, tea and cake.

This free workshop is the launch of our Green Creative Hub project in collaboration with Groundwork and UCLAN, that will continue throughout 2025. It’s all about developing creative activities in your local green spaces and during this launch workshop we’d like to hear your thoughts on what you would like to see happening next year and your views on local landscapes and natural environments.

Zoe Forster is an artist that is committed to working with and for West Cumbrians and her work is often inspired by the diverse local landscapes. Her work uses photographs, drawings, collaging, clay and any other material she can find.

In this first workshop we will develop our own artistic creations using a range of mixed media materials inspired by what we love about nature and gardening. We’ll explore ideas like creatures and habitats, making things together that can be installed inside and outside.

The workshop will last roughly 1 hour and 15 mins with extra time at the end for tea, cake and chat.

No artistic experience is needed to take part and everyone is welcome.

The workshop is free to attend. Please email Kieran on kieran@everyonehere.org if you would like to join us.

If you would like to attend and live in Workington please contact Shayla at Groundwork on shayla.johnston@groundwork.org.uk who is organising transport from Workington to Maryport.
