Millom

This project celebrated Millom as the kindest town in the country.

A group of artists led by Hannah Kessler and Hannah Fox established a series of workshops across the area working alongside community members to engage in creative activities such as crotchet, stone painting and banner making.

A digital map of kindness was created where people could submit their acts of kindness.

And in February 2024 the All Kinds team hosted a Made In Millom celebration event featuring a makers market, craft tent, party procession, live music and performance topped off with outdoor projections showcasing the creative work of the local community.

Throughout All Kinds the project team discovered many local people had a passion for co-creating a carnival in the town in the future. We hope to develop a community led carnival in the future.
